NVIDIA : PC Gaming will Surpass Console Gaming

NVIDIA has shown some graphs depicting on how well the PC Gaming will do competing with console gaming in the next few years. They are betting that PC Gaming will be surpassing console gaming very soon and here are the graphs that they shown:

The Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii are already 5 to 6 years old and that means that the technology they are carrying are pass its prime compare to the PC. However, Nintendo did announced their new Wii U this year, but it seems like the specifications on it will not be up-to-par as a next gen console. NVIDIA suggest that the next gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony will not be what we expect.
Plus, one of the major selling point for PC gamers is the free-to-play online games like League of Legends, Lord of the Rings, and other F2P games out there. With more and more game companies switching to this model, we will be seeing more gamers hopping on the PC, instead of the console.

Prototype 2

Description :

Activision have today confirmed that their hotly anticipated sequel to 2009's excellent Prototype is to be released on the 24th April 2012 and is to have its 'first public game presentations' at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Developed by Radical Entertainment, Protoype 2, to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, will feature a new infected hero, Sgt. James Heller as he fights his way across New York with the eventual aim of killing the first game's protagonist Alex Mercer. Fans of the original will be pleased to hear that the successful template has not been changed and things are likely to be bigger, bolder, better, with hopefully a greater variety of shape-shifting and environments, a common criticism of the first outing.

GamePlay :
Like Alex Mercer, James Heller can shapeshift and assume other people’s identities and memories by consuming them. Taking peoples identities and shape-shifting into them has become more tactical.

Due to Blackwatch's actions in the Yellow Zone, if the player assumes the role of a soldier, people will react back to him in a way that they show they want nothing to do with him. To make sure that enemies do not overwhelm the player, Radical has created a dodging system and new, more realistic AI. Heller will be able to use weapons in the game, such as ripping the cannon off of a tank and using it against enemies. Heller can also sneak up on unsuspecting human enemies, inject the Blacklight virus in them and create a "BioBomb" out of them to blow up objects, enemies and such. James Heller also has improved strength, movement, invulnerability (self-healing and endurance), and has a sonar sense. The sonar includes a new pulse ability that highlights the key features of an environment to make it easier for the player to find something or someone, instead of looking in a large crowd for a person with an icon above their head. Radical has stated that the powers will be more meaningful, they will come in mutations and upgrades that let players decide how they want to play as Heller.

Release Date :

GTA V ( Back To San Andreas )

Rockstar has released some teasing details about Grand Theft Auto V, following the launch of the first game trailer on Wednesday. The company confirmed that the title is in full production at the Rockstar North studio where all the home console versions have been designed since GTA III.

In a short press release, Los Santos, GTA's fictional version of Los Angeles, was also confirmed as the game's setting. Mentioned throughout the series, the city forms one of the main sections of the 2004 release Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It features versions of Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, Downtown and crime-ridden areas such as Compton. Rockstar also stated that the surrounding hills, countryside and beaches would also figure.

The press release goes on to describe GTA V as a, 'bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer'. The previous title, GTA IV, made ambitious use of multiplayer elements, including the implementation of a social networking service, The Rockstar Social club.

As for the plot, Rockstar would only say that the game focuses on the pursuit of 'the almighty dollar' in a re-imagined, present day Southern California. Which sounds like the Grand Theft Auto experience we all know and love.

The big question mark is over tone. While some gamers appreciated the more gritty, downbeat flavour of GTA IV, many longed for the glitz, glamour and comedy of GTA III: Vice City. The glinting sun, multiple beach shots and suggestions of seedy night life indicate that Grand Theft Auto might be swaying back in that direction.

Naruto GTA : Konoha City Stories

Many, many changes were made and actually added vehicles and weapons.  Wouldn't be "GTA" without them!
A crossover pic of Naruto-anime and my all-time favourite video game ever, the Grand theft Auto series.

No, this is just fanart (with the famous Rockstar logo in the corner).
Not an actual game but, as a Sasu... Naruto fan, I would love to play something like this!

Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of Patriots

Description :

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the most technically stunning video game ever made. It's also a fine example of storytelling prowess within its medium, combining gameplay and narrative so slickly and beautifully that it's impossible to extricate one from the other. It's likely you will emerge awestruck from your first play-through, wishing the experience would continue yet nonetheless satisfied with its conclusion. It's difficult not to sound hyperbolic when discussing MGS4 because every part of its design seemingly fulfills its vision, without compromise. There is no halfway.

Fully realized, lengthy story sequences will come as no surprise to anyone who has played a Metal Gear game. You'll spend a good half of MGS4 watching cinematics, but it would be a grave misinterpretation to assume that great gameplay takes a backseat to the story. Rather, these two elements are tightly intertwined, and this tapestry is held together by an important technical thread: Cutscenes that are rendered fully in real time within the game engine. It's impressive enough that these scenes look as good as any prerendered cinematic you've ever watched. It's even more amazing when those same scenes transition without pause into gameplay, and the same hulking mech you watched lumber about in the cinematic is looming above you. The subtle animations, the lush environments, and the rich textures are the same in and out of story sequences, and the effect is so seamless it may take your breath away. You can skip past the scenes if you prefer, but doing so would soften the experience. The story sequences carry more weight because of the intense gameplay that precedes them--and the gameplay feels more compelling because the story gives you powerful reasons to care about your mission. The high point of this fusion occurs in an exciting and memorable split-screen sequence that simply must be experienced.

Age of Empires Online

Description :

I think I had the same reaction as many of our readers when the very first screens of Age of Empires Online drifted into the fanged, slathering maw of the internet. It was a kneejerk reaction --Age of Empires wasn't meant to be bright and colorful! It was meant to look realistic, and play like Deadliest Warrior on a societal scale!

Despite being tossed between developers, spending a few moments with Age of Empires Online shows the great care and attention to detail that went into its creation. Especially so if you look at the way units animate. Slingers have numerous attack animations, some of which are really intricate. Even lowly farmers have several really clever raking animations. The poly-count may be low, but the love level is off the charts, and all ties in well with the cartoony art direction.

Windows 8

Windows, being one of the most used OS, brings great challenges for Microsoft to keep its users impressed in the next version of Windows.
Although Windows 7 has done exceptionally well since its release, Microsoft has been constantly working to make the next version of Windows a better one by further improving upon the existing features, and have added new impressive Windows 8 features along with a stunning UI.
Microsoft released the early version of Windows 8 on a prototype tablet last week. Those of you who would like to taste and experience the all new Windows 8, you can download the Developer Preview, which is currently in pre-beta version. The developer version shows off the current stage of the OS.

Features :

The “Windows To Go” seems to be an exciting feature that basically allows Windows 8 to boot from a USB device (called as Live USB), including user’s programs, settings and files. The feature is designed to work with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, and on both legacy NIOS and UDFI firmware. However, Microsoft says that a user will not be able to “Hibernate” with this feature.

“Windows To Go is a new feature in Windows 8 that enables enterprise administrators to create USB drives containing complete, managed Windows images that users can use to boot and run Windows on any Windows 7 or Windows 8 capable computer. Windows To Go makes it possible for employees to use a managed device whether they work from home, a client office or in a free seating environment. This session will discuss Windows To Go, its hardware requirements and building compatible and complementary software.”

Another interesting thing about this feature is that, if the USB drive is removed, Windows will automatically freeze, but will continue to operate if the USB drive is inserted back in the next 60 seconds after removal.

Improved Windows Defender :

The Windows Defender which was first released with Windows Vista is getting a security upgrade with the upcoming Windows 8. This would probably edge-our third-party antivirus and anti-malware programs. Windows Defender will become a full-fledged anti-malware solution for Windows 8. This will include protection against all types of malware such as virus, worms, trojans and rootkits.

In addition to that, Windows Defender will provide real-time detection and protection from malware threats using a file system filter, and will interface with Windows secured boot, which is another security feature.

Internet Explorer 10 :

The developer preview of Windows 8 comes with a Metro version of Internet Explore (IE) 10. Since it is a preview version, it does not support any browser plugins and extension – including Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight. However, it will feature full screen browsing mode by default, implements several new HTML5 capabilities, turbocharges HTML5 performance, and adds some security options for Web applications.

Minimum Requirements :

Processor: 1GHz or faster 32-bit or 64-bit processor
RAM: 1GB (32-bit) or 2GB (64-bit)
HD Space: 16GB for 32-bit (or 20GB for 64-bit)

Release Date :

We can expect Windows 8 to be launched sometime in mid-late 2012, however, it’s too early to predict the Windows 8 release date, since it is still under development. Nevertheless, the only question that haunts each and every one of us – Will Windows 8 win the battle against Apple which it had lost several years back?

Apple Iphone 4s Review

After more than a year with the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S--announced Tuesday by Apple CEO Tim Cook--seems a bit, well, underwhelming.

The hardware announced today offers no design overhaul. Apple upgraded the phone's camera from a 5-megapixel sensor to an 8-megapixel sensor, though, and the iPhone 4S will use the same dual-core A5 chip that the iPad 2 does.

4G capability? Forget it--Apple isn't going that route this time. We already knew about iOS 5 and its features for a while, but the inclusion of the Siri voice-activated software was a nice surprise.

Apple isn't the only tech company that loves to tick off specs and claim its products are the first to market with a certain technology. Most companies that do so rely on consumers' failure to understand the technology or know what the specs mean. Such confusion frequently happens with camera specs, so I asked my colleague Tim Moynihan, PCWorld’s camera editor, to decipher some of the specs announced for the iPhone 4S’s camera.

The iPhone 4S has an identical design to the iPhone 4, but its guts are all new. Although that might be a disappointment to some people (no larger display, no slimmer body, no tear-shape game-friendly design), I am actually pretty happy with it. I really like the iPhone 4 design: It's still the thinnest smartphone available (despite Samsung’s claims), and it has a stylish, premium look thanks to the glass face and back.

I am a little disappointed to see that the screen real estate didn’t get a bump. I’m definitely not asking for a 4.5-inch display (which is too big in my opinion), but 4 inches or even 3.7 inches would make Web browsing, movie watching, and gaming a bit more comfortable. Ramon Llamas, IDC's senior research analyst for mobile devices technology and trends, says that keeping the same screen size is actually a benefit to consumers and developers.

Need For Speed : The Run

During this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, EA took the chance to show off its upcoming racer, Need for Speed: The Run, which marks the first time in the series that players will be required to spend time on foot.

The game will see players taking part in an illicit race from San Francisco to New York, incorporating the Autolog networking system that was used to foster competition between friends in last year's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. During the E3 demo, EA revealed a chunk of the game that saw the protagonist, Jack, leave his car and run through a portion of the city while running away from a pack of bad guys. Button prompts saw Jack performing a series of platforming stunts before finding a new car and speeding away again.

The course included regular checkpoints, something that works alongside the game's new rewind feature. The latter becomes available only when you crash; so, rather than going back all the way to the start of the race, you're simply taken back to the last checkpoint and allowed to reattempt the part you failed. This is a particularly handy feature when completing a new track because it lets you learn from your mistakes without being too punishing. It also has the added advantage of giving players time to explore the track to discover shortcuts without losing too much time.

During the demo EA also emphasised that while the game's reveal focused on Jack's on-foot adventures, players shouldn't expect to see too much of this aspect, as racing will still be the main component of Need for Speed: The Run. The publisher also hinted that Jack will have to survive certain environmental challenges, and while we recently saw the avalanche scenario during Gamescom, they're remaining tight-lipped on others.

Fedora 16 Review

Fedora currently ranks at No. 3 in DistroWatch's popularity listings, and late Thursday the project behind it announced that the next big version--Fedora 16, or “Verne”--has been officially declared “gold” and ready for release on Tuesday.

If you've been considering sampling a taste of Linux's many benefits for your business, this new release could be a great one to try because of its particular strength on enterprise features. Here are six good reasons to test it.

Expanded virtual network support and an updated version of Spice--which is designed for managing virtual machines--are both included in Fedora 16, as are Xen support, a new virtual machine lock manager, and better ability to browse guest file systems.

The Fedora project abandoned its efforts to implement Ubuntu's controversial new Unity interface back in February, so the Unity-averse will find a safe haven in Fedora.

They'll still have plenty of choices, however, with both GNOME and KDE on offer. Included in Fedora 16 are KDE Plasma Workspace 4.7--including Plasma Desktop and Netbook workspaces, the KDE Applications and the KDE Platform--as well as GNOME 3.2.

GNOME 3 has also been controversial, of course, but it's only one option, and GNOME users will also find a new tool that lets them switch seamlessly between keyboard layouts and input methods. For those who don't like GNOME 3, KDE provides a really attractive alternative, as I recently noted.

Apple Ipad 2 Review

To say Apple's iPad 2 is an easy tablet to review is somewhat of an understatement. The device, a follow up to last year's wildly successful (and currently market-defining) iPad, is nearly identical when it comes to software, and though improved, closely related on the hardware side as well. With a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 display, the general size and shape of the device has remained the same, and though inside there's a new dual core A5 CPU, more memory, and a pair of new cameras, most of the iPad 2's changes are cosmetic. Still, the previous tablet soared far above most of its competitors when it came to the quality of both the hardware (if not its raw specs) and its software selection -- something Apple still stands head and shoulders over its adversaries on. So this new model, a thinner, sleeker, faster variant of the original may not be breaking lots of new ground, but it's already at the front of the pack. But is the iPad 2 worth an upgrade for those that took the plunge on the first generation? More importantly, does the device have what it takes to bring new owners into the fold? Those questions -- and more -- are all about to be answered in the full Engadget review, so read on!

Much has been made about what is -- and isn't -- inside the new iPad. For starters, Apple has replaced last year's A4 CPU with a new, 1GHz dual core chip it's calling the A5 (surprise surprise). According to Geekbench, there's now 512MB of RAM in the iPad, bringing it up to iPhone 4 standards. That still seems on the low side to us -- a device in this class should probably be sporting 1GB, though we had no memory issues. The screen is identical to the previous model, a 1024 x 768, 9.7-inch IPS display. It still looks good, though we really would have liked to see a bump in resolution -- if not up to the Retina Display's doubled numbers, then something substantial. We don't take issue with the quality of the display as far as color balance or deepness of blacks go, but we would like to see higher pixel density, especially for the book apps.

On the wireless front, you can nab either a WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n) only model, a Verizon 3G version, or an iPad of the AT&T / GSM variety. Bluetooth 2.1+EDR is on board, as is an AGPS chip in the 3G versions. All the models come equipped with an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, and a new addition: a three-axis gyroscope.

As we said, Apple has relocated the iPad's single speaker to the back of the device. The sound seems clearer if somewhat quieter than the old version, and we can't say that there's a major improvement as far as the placement goes. It does the job, but if you're working in GarageBand (or just listening to music or watching video), you'll want good headphones or decent speakers nearby.

Let's just put this out there: the iPad 2 cameras are really pretty bad. They're not unusable, but it's clear that the sensors employed are not top shelf by any measure. If you have a fourth generation iPod touch with cameras, you can expect the same results. In fact, it seems to us that these are the SAME cameras used in the iPod touch -- there's an "HD" lens around back (which means it's roughly a single megapixel shooter), and on the front you've got a lowly VGA cam. Neither one of these produces remotely satisfying results for still shots, and in particular (when compared with something like the Xoom), the back camera just seems utterly second rate. For video duties and FaceTime calls, the cameras are reasonably useful -- but we would never trade a dedicated camera (or at least a smartphone with a 5+ megapixel shooter) for this.

It wouldn't be a new iOS product without an iOS update, and the iPad 2 ushers in iOS 4.3, a minor update which touts a few bells and whistles. Notably, Apple has improved browser performance, added broader AirPlay support, mercifully added an option to toggle your mute switch for rotation lock duties, and (on the iPhone at least) brought Personal Hotspot to GSM devices (but not the iPad 2).

Alongside the iPad update, Apple also introduced two fairly major pieces of software -- GarageBand and iMovie for the iPad. Here's our take on those apps, as well some of the other big additions.

Assasin's Creed : Revelations REVIEW

Assasin's Creed : Revelations  REVIEW

Finally one of the most awaited release of this year is here but feeling sorry for the PC users , they still have to wait a bit longer (2 Dec is the release date in PC).
In the Gaming Dimension , the approach adopted by UBISOFT for ASSASIN CREED is so very difference and interesting and ofcourse its fun . There is different in doing something and doing something in assasin's way which I find a lot more fun .

For a quick recap , let me tell you that you are Desmond Miles, a 21st-century man abducted by a large corporation that is a front for the ancient and enduring Templar Order. Using a device called the Animus, the Templars force Desmond to relive centuries-old memories of distant ancestors, all stone-cold killers, in an attempt to locate lost artifacts that will bring them ultimate world power.

So, how the game plays ? Fantastic. The sprawling old-world metropolis of Constantinople is one of the most realistic gaming environments I've ever seen. It's wide-open for exploring, and the exhaustive attention to detail is really impressive. And one more thing that will cheer every assasin's creed fan that Altair , the assassin in the first game of the series, is back as a playable character.

In Both , single player and multiplayer , it is as fabulous as i thought it would be . so i'll give a big thumbs up for "Assasin's Creed : Revelation". Top release of this year .

MaxPayne 3

Max Payne 3 was seemingly confirmed in the last moments of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne with the words " Max's Journey into the Night Will Continue." But it took nearly six years before the sequel was finally announced. Originally announced for release in 2009, the game has since been postponed. It was initially expected to release in 2011, though Rockstar in September 2011 announced that Max Payne 3 will be released in March, 2012. Rockstar's Vancouver studio is taking the lead on development, breaking the series away from its previous developer, Remedy Entertainment. Since its announcement, the game has undergone some meaningful stylistic changes, as well. Though Max Payne was originally depicted as an older, bald man in the materials that accompanies the game's original announcement, screenshots released in 2011 show hair on Max's head, though he has maintained facial hair throughout.

Max Payne will no longer be a cop in the new sequel. Set eight years after the previous game, Payne is still addicted to booze and painkillers. Without the badge weighing him down, Payne leaves New York for Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he gets into the private security industry. His task--at least at the game's outset--is to protect a wealthy real estate man named Rodrigo Branco and his family.

Remedy's Sam Lake provided his face for previous Max Payne games. The new developers are redesigning Payne to look more like James McCaffrey, the man who has voiced Max Payne in all of his previous outings. McCaffrey will also reprise his role as the voice of Max Payne.

Gameplay

1. The healing system will involve Max's addiction to painkillers.

2. Max can now dual wield two different weapons at the same time, such as a pistol and an uzi, whereas before he could only dual-wield two of the same weapon at once.

3. Max's weapon capacity is now more realistic, whereas he could carry an unlimited amount of weapons in the other games, now he has to pick between what weapons he wants to carry.

4. Max can use human shields.

5. Certain objects are now destructible.

6. A cover system will be in the game.

Modern Warfare 3 VS Battlefield 3

So, I've been looking at the trailers and comments. Everyone seems to say that MW3 will be a turd and the contrary for BF3. I just want peoples justifications on why that is.

For the most part, they don't seem to want to take into consideration the changes that have been made and i"m not going to lie, but MW3 looks like the most change they've had in a very long time. Hell, even BF3 took some steps back, why can't I destroy MOST of the buildings/walls,etc in a level? It's one of the features everyone keeps bragging about. From the 2 maps I've played so far,( caspian and metro on pc) the destruction was quite underwhelming.

Personally, I can't even compare the two games. MW3 for me is that quick, fast paced, arcady game(quickscoping anyone?). While BF3 is a slower paced, more strategic and longer type of game. Keep in mind that I'm talking about both the multiplayer and Campaign.

With that said, I'll be getting BF3 for PC and MW3 for ps3, both games look very fun and I don't believe they even have the same thing going for them besides being an FPS with modern guns.

How do you guys think they compare?
